国际毛皮协会CEO，马克欧顿的声明
近期，关于俄罗斯毛皮养殖的相关报道是失实的、误导性的。俄罗斯养殖行业严格遵守动物福利立法，受当地政府的严格监管。违规操作的养殖者将被处以重罚，并最终禁止其从事养殖。
－其笼舍的尺寸符合欧洲委员会的标准；
－野生紫貂的捕猎符合国际捕猎标准（AIHTS), 其中仅10%的俄罗斯紫貂是养殖，且是养殖种群，野生紫貂从不在笼中喂养；
－从2017年开始，所有野生、饲养紫貂都将逐一标记，以明确其来源；
－注射的目的是对动物实施安乐死，是由科学家证实的一种人道、迅速、平和的方法，与兽医对待家畜的方法类似；
－安乐死起效后数小时，才会对动物实施剥皮；
－关于活剥皮张是完全没有根据的，这不会在正规的毛皮行业发生。我们再次希望您能向我们和当地政府举报这种可怕和野蛮的事件，我们将进行调查。在过去三年中，国际毛皮协会不断寻找证据，但我们和当地政府均未收到任何相关证据和事实。

A number of claims have been made in recent press articles about various aspects of farming practices in Russia which are untrue and misleading. Russian farms are covered by strong welfare legislation which is enforced by the government inspections. Farms that fail to perform are given heavy fines and finally banned from operating. - Cage sizes are in line with Council of Europe standards.- Wild sable are all trapped in line with International Trapping Standards (AIHTS) while only 10% of sable in Russia are farmed and they are only the domesticated farm sable species - wild sable is never kept in cages.
- From 2017 every wild and farmed sable will have to be individually tagged, to clearly identify its source.
- The use of injections to euthanise the animals is a humane, quick and peaceful method and a practice that is approved by scientist and similar to the way domestic animals are put down by vets.
- Skins are never taken from animals until hours after the euthanasia has taken place.
－Images of carcasses are quite normal. As in many other animal industries, the dead animals are collected and stored in this way for use as a bi-product such as agricultural composting. - Claims of skinning alive are totally unproven and would not happen in the regulated fur industry. We once again urge anyone aware of this horrific and barbaric practice taking place to report it to us and the national authorities and we will investigate. Despite IFF asking for evidence over the past three years, none has ever been brought to us or the local authorities.
